Gene has been heavily involved in Sarasota for 40 years. Prior to moving to Longboat Key, Gene spent his career in the publishing & entertainment industries, from book & magazine publishing to TV & films. Multilingual, Gene has traveled all over the planet as well as all 50 states. One of the top producers at Coldwell Banker in the region, Gene is regularly awarded Coldwell's coveted International Presidents Circle award as well as Best of Zillow, Best of Trulia and other similar acknowledgements of his continued success. Gene has lived throughout the world, from NYC to Paris to Rio, but calls Sarasota his home. He has been a board member of many of the area non-profit organizations, and is best known locally as the founder and original publisher of the prestigious regional publication, West Coast Woman. When not in Sarasota, Gene can be found studying jaguars in the Brazilian jungle, visiting hill tribes in Burma, studying grizzly bears in Montana, wandering alone through Siberia, exploring ancient civilizations in Uzbekistan, learning more about the genocides in Cambodia and Rwanda, on a dinosaur fossil dig in Mongolia's Gobi desert, visiting ancient ruins in Sicily, visiting Komodo dragons in Indonesia or orangotans in Borneo, hanging out on a quiet beach in the Hamptons, or sitting at an outdoor cafe -- anywhere.
