Skip Slocum

Originally from Virginia, Skip spent many years on the move and finally found his way back to the Blue Ridge Mountains. After receiving his Master's from Virginia Tech he decided that the New River Valley, with it's outdoor amenities, authentic mountain music, and welcoming sense of community was the perfect place to call home. He now shares his love for both the mountains and music with his wife and two daughters. Whether it's spending time in the backcountry or on the banjo, participating in community events, or working on his career as a real estate professional, he has certainly found a home here in the New River Valley and thoroughly enjoys helping others do the same.
